Okay, I don’t know WHAT is going on with me right now…

I haven’t spent a DIME on personal or unnecessary things (okay, except for wine) for months and months because I’m totally broke, and I’ve not really felt the need to buy “things.” It was a nice feeling to be so detached from wanting to consume for no reason. And now it’s like a switch has been flipped and all I can think about is things that I waaaaaant!!!
So instead of buying them I’m going to blog about them. Maybe that’ll help. Eh, it’s worth a shot.
I want this:
Shark took necklace from Rockabella Jewels. It’s literally only $20, but I have a to buy a plane ticket to Seattle this week and I think I’ll probably only have a couple bucks left in my account after that purchase, so I don’t want to even spend a piddly $20 for fear that I’ll overdraft!!! But eventually it WILL be mine! (Rockabella jewels is a Maui designer that I love, she made a wedding necklace for me that’s one of my favorite jewelry pieces to date.)

I want this mirror, or a mirror like this:
I found it on Craigslist, (actually, I found it on a design blog who found it on Craigslist) and again it’s only $30, which I think is a super decent price for these types of mirrors.

I am DYING for a new couch or to get my current couch reupholstered:
This is my inspiration couch that I found at my favorite home design store Room Service. Of course having this couch would also make my life complete.

This thing is like my dream living room addition:
I’ve been dreaming about finding something or building something like this forever and I found this mid-century modern wall unit on Craigslist and it’s $600. But that’s an amount of money that I won’t have for a loooooong time and it’ll more than likely be sold before I can afford it.

These cool rubber address stamps:
Found this on Paperwink and think that I can justify the purchase because Xmas card time is coming!!!

Save the Turtles!:
Okay, been wanting this for a year, but Oceana just put out another email tempting me with these cute cookie cutters in the shape of a turtle, or for more $ you can get the whole sea-creature cookie cutter set. And the money goes to help save the sea creatures!

Oh and THIS:
Don’t even TALK to me about THIS. My god I’ve been lusting after this baby for a while now. Got close to getting this for our anniversary, but it the end it was just too expensive.

Amazing party dress:
Seriously, this is one of the most amazing party dresses EVAR! For a little while Aaron and I thought that we would do a crazy vow-renewal for our anniversary, but the location fell through and I lost my excuse to buy this beauty. But I still want it!!!

Glass door knobs:
Okay, so I actually DID buy glass door knobs. Found cheap versions of vintage knobs at a hardware stores in WeHo. Spent close to $100 already on 3 sets of knobs, plus the accoutrements, only to find out that it’s not an easy project and I pretty much need to replace ALL the hardware if I want to change out the knobs and I don’t have enough money to finish the project right now. So pissed.

So there, I feel a little better after purging my lustful soul onto this blog post. But instead of buying all those things (save the door knobs) I will instead purchase a TICKET TO SEATTLE!!! It’s totally worth it and I can’t wait to go!
