My Meadowfabulous 31st birthday

Love for year 31.

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I turned thirty! If you recall, last year I had a big birthday party — my Nerdy Thirty — AND I immediately went to my first Meadowfabulous. This year Meadowfabulous WAS my birthday celebration. Though it was hard to not be surrounded my close friends on my special day, it was nice to not have to worry about planning anything special and surrounding myself with my new (and getting closer) friends. With zero pressure on myself, I just kicked back and enjoy whatever the day brought. And you know what? It was pretty much one of the best days of my life — stuffed full of almost everything I love the most in the world.

Here’s a rundown (mostly in photos) of all the wonderful things I did on the day I turned 31:

Our camp site

I woke up in a tent in the middle of the most amazingly beautiful woods.

Even spider webs look gorgeous here.

Having an awesome Meadowfab birthday

Ate a delicious breakfast with my husband in the meadow.

Obviously I got to spend the day with these two incredible people.

Aaron and I bounced on the trampoline — I sadly don’t have a photo of this.

It was an absolutely perfect summer day, so we all just lounged around. I liked laying on Aaron’s tummy on a big ‘ol blanket.

Aaron playing guitar while we all hang out in the sun

It just got better when Aaron started playing guitar.

Sun bathing in Seattle!

I just couldn’t get over the fact that I was sun bathing in freaking Seattle.

Later there was posing for photos in the Meadowfab photo booth:

Me on my 31st bday
Epic pit bull puppy love moment.
Ariel-squirrel photo bomb!

Ariel Van Squirrel bomb!

Eating and hanging around the fire. Today has been full of my favorite things.

There was more eating and hanging around the fire.

Aaron and the passed out pit bull puppy

And then more pit bull cuddles!!!

AND pitbull puppy snuggles!? This day = the best.

I mean, look at that face!

Then there was a lovely nap in the tent with Aaron. (no pics)

Got to rock our kigururmi suits for my bday night

Then it was costume change time for the Saturday night talent show. That means I got another chance to wear our kigurumi suits!

The Dino-Finleys
The weirdest (and one of the only) photo of Ariel and me

Screw cake — for dessert there was home-made crisp and huckleberry ice cream. That’s my OMG! face.

Oh, and my birthday included fire dancing. No biggie or anything.

Oh oh! And my birthday included a freaking FIRE SHOW. No biggie or anything. This was awesome.

Throw in some margaritas, s’mores, and a super sweet rendition of Ariel’s special birthday song, and I had THEE best birthday with zero planning. I couldn’t have been happier.

Here are the rest of my Meadowfabulous photos:
