Lots of sharktastic fun at the 5th annual Shark Attackiversary

Another year has gone by and Aaron has managed to not get himself bitten by a shark! Oh yes, and he also survived that exact thing five years ago on October 29th. In honor of that, ever since the one year anniversary, we invite our friends over, drink shark-themed beers, and chow down on red velvet cupcakes to celebrate Aaron still being alive.

Speaking of the cupcakes, how cute are those cupcake wrappers that I found!? They’re totally made for Halloween, but they were too perfect not to purchase for a shark attack party.

Now click through to see party photos and a couple shark-themed party accessories and surprises…

Aaron and me, with a shark looming in the background… of course.

Lisa made this watermelon and pumpkin shark combo. She also made DELICIOUS pumpkin cake, the recipe can be found here. She’s amazing.

Gotta love Lisa.

Here’s me chowing down on my second piece of pumpkin cake.

We also screened Shark Week tv shows while we partied.

It’s now a tradition for me to hide these shark fin salt and pepper shakers in our party snacks.

And, of course, there are shark-themed beers!

Speaking of beer… I made my non-award-winning pumpkin keg again.

Daren was finally NOT ON TOUR to enjoy an attackiversary party. Marianne and Oliver also came. Peezu partied as well.

Kimmy finally made it to her first attackiversary this year!

And this year was Lisa and Alex’s second attackiversary party. The first one for them was the first night we met them a year ago!

All and all this year’s attackiversary was a wonderful time. We had new friends and old friends and everyone happy to still have Aaron in our lives. As always, Aaron, thanks for not dying five years ago. The shark attackiversary is still my favorite party to throw for that very reason.

So glad you are still alive with all limbs Aaron, and since I was there for the actual scary event, some year I would like to attend one of these! …. btw, I still wake up sometimes in a sweat thinking about what it could have been….. love to you both
